
Late 18th Century Primitive Antique "Rat Tail" Candleholder
A late 18th Century antique "rat tail" candleholder.
Constructed from a steel sheet which has been wound to form a coil with a carrying hook (also known as a "rat tail"), over a turned wooden base.
Attributed to France or its surrounding Countries.
Condition - Good as per the images. The rise-and-fall winder is no longer in situ. The wooden base has traces of old worm however this is inactive and has been treated also as a precautionary measure. A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
