
A Well-Patinated Late 17th-Century English Antique Walnut, Elm & Oak Gateleg Table, Circa 1680
A well-patinated, country-made, late 17th-century English antique walnut, oak, and elm gateleg table which comfortably accommodates six to eight people, when fully extended.
The plank top is ovoid when fully extended, above a carcass comprising two elongated drawers (one at each end), two opening gates, the legs all beautifully turned and united by stretchers.
Peg-joined construction.
Provenance - Sourced from a farmhouse close to Walsingham, Norfolk, where it has been for the last 150-ish years.
Condition - the hinges have been replaced historically. All the timbers appear to be original. This is a good looking table that is ready to go! A further detailed condition report is available upon request.
