17th Century Rococo Style, 19th Century-Made, French Antique Cushion Frame Mirror
A lovely 17th Century Rococo style French antique cushion frame mirror with its original bevelled glass.
19thC-made.
Decorated with repousse metalwork (brass, which has aged naturally over time to a wonderful dark colour).
The pediment with shell motif finial with fruit, foliage, and scrolls, and below, further decorative metalwork surrounds the five mirrored panels.
Mounted on a pine carcass.
Condition - Offered in "as found, country house condition". Surface wear is commensurate with age. The mirror plates do show minor age-related signs of de-silvering however this remains a very useable mirror and displays well.
Size: Width 32 cm x Height 59 cm x Depth 5 cm (12 1/2" x 23 1/4" x 2").
