17th Century & Later English Antique Oak Mirror Frame or Picture Frame Carved "1633"
A 17thC and later English antique oak frame.
The frame is offered for sale without a mirror.
Ideal for a mirror, a picture or an embroidery.
With a carved cresting rail (most probably recycled from a 17thC wainscot armchair) carved with scrolls and foliage and bearing the date of "1633" and the initials "TW". The remaining parts of the frame are of a later date and are scratch moulded and chip carved to the interior edges.
Provenance - Unknown.
