16th Century German Antique Brass Nuremberg Alms Dish Decorated with King David Playing a Harp

A 16th-century antique brass alms dish.

German in origin. Attributed to Nuremberg, Germany.

Decorated throughout with repousse work and stamped decoration. The centre is decorated with a naive image of King David playing a harp. The outer rim is decorated with stamped decoration and a rolled flange.

Condition - as per the images. Wear to the surface commensurate with age and some minor dents. There are some areas of thinning to the metal. This charger does however display very well.

Size: Diameter 32 cm (12 1/2")
