A mid-18th-century English antique oak longcase clock originating from Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, England.
The hood has a shaped pediment and three gilded ball finials. It is over a single glazed door flanked on either side by fluted columns. Below is the case with a shaped throat, elongated door, and plain plinth base.
With a 30-hour birdcage movement driven by a single weight on a rope. Regulated by an elongated pendulum. The brass dial has decorative brass corner spandrels, a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, and a single hour hand.
Provenance - Previously sold by Suffolk Antique Clocks.
