A highly decorative iron-bound table top box of Gothic form dating back to the early 16th Century.
All exterior surfaces are painted with foliate and floral decoration on an ochre ground. It is possible that the painted decoration is of a later date.
With its original lock plate and hasp.
The gabled lid opens to reveal an interior decorated in blue with yellow star bursts.
